PEAK 1: HELVELLYN
• Date: Sunday, 8th March 2026
• Status: COMPLETED ✓
• Elevation: 950m
• Weather: Sun and clear skies at the base. Cold with snow and ice coverage on the upper slopes. Cloud coverage at the summit to the point where you could barely see.
• Mission Log: The opening of the 65-week graft. Shifting from a clear start to navigating dense cloud and ice at the peak. This was about banking the first vertical meters and building the mountain legs needed for the long road to Scotland.
PEAK 2: SKIDDAW
• Date: Sunday, 15th March 2026
• Status: COMPLETED ✓
• Elevation: 931m
• Weather: Deceptive start with slight drizzle. Abysmal 40mph+ winds and sideways rain at the summit, making it near impossible to stay on my feet.
• Mission Log: Week 2 of the 65-week graft. A brutal test of grit against the elements. Fighting through the gale to reach the summit proved the resilience needed for the Highlands. Another 931m banked as the mountain legs continue to grow.
